Mark Farmer is the principal adviser and founder of Mark Farmer Financial Solutions Pty Ltd, and has been designated as a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® practitioner. Mark Farmer Financial Solutions is an FPA Professional Practice and is committed to upholding the FPA's Code of Professional Practice.
Mark worked for the National Australia Bank for eighteen years, initially beginning in superannuation and investment trust administration/management, then transitioning to become a financial advisor in 2001, working out of the Melbourne office in Collins Street. In 2005 Mark was promoted to a Senior Financial Planning Manager position with NAB Financial Planning (NAB FP). In March 2006 he and his wife relocated to South Gippsland and have since had three children. He continues to live and work in Gippsland today, although his clients can be found all over Australia and overseas.
In 2014, with the agreement and support of NAB FP, Mark transitioned from a highly successful Senior Financial Planner role to become a self- employed representative of Garvan Financial Planning which has since been taken over by Consultum Financial Advisers Pty Ltd. Garvan is a division of a wholly owned subsidiary of the National Australia Bank, GWM Adviser Services Limited.
Mark is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP). This certification is the highest level of certification that a financial planner can achieve. Internationally recognised, the CFP marks represent standards of excellence and demonstrate a commitment to financial planning.
Having worked in the industry since 1995, Mark has a great deal of experience and a thorough understanding and passion for financial planning. He doesn’t judge a book by it’s cover, is adaptable, compassionate and can work with all ages and walks of life. He is driven to continually educate and help his clients understand the choices they have, and need to make, to ultimately achieve their goals.
Teneale Benfield
Administration Assistant / Paraplanner
Teneale is our Admin Assistant/Paraplanner. Teneale previously worked as an administrative assistant for an outsource paraplanning business whereby she then progressed into paraplanning and has worked with us since.
Joanne Farmer
Office Manager
Joanne Farmer is our Office Manager. Jo has previously lived and worked in Japan in the early nineties and can speak Japanese. She returned from Japan and worked for the NAB from 1995 until 2000 in managed fund administration. From 2000 she worked as a personal assistant at both the head office of Exxon Mobil and Hewlett Packard in Melbourne.
